The main shareholder of GCS, Associate Professor Pandelis Biskas, is considered an expert in power systems modelling and in the modelling of European electricity markets. His deep knowledge of the European electricity markets’ operation in both regulatory framework and in daily operation has provided him a key role in the Greek wholesale electricity market, where he is widely known for unit commitment and economic dispatch applications. His research interests expand in optimization models for market clearing and bidding strategies.

During this cooperation, Pandelis Biskas participated in several energy projects in Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, and other countries.
- ⇒ AJPSOFT PC, a software house in Athens, Greece, in which Pandelis Biskas was the initiator and project manager of three software products: a. the “Integrated Energy Billing System” (IEBS) which has been licensed to many electricity and gas suppliers (retailers) in Greece, b. the “Energy Trading & Risk Management – Base” software, which gathered publicly available information from Market Operators and Transmission System Operators from many European countries, and created reports and analysis for trading activities and wholesale market analysis; this tool has been used in the past (before the Target Model organization) by several energy companies in Greece, and c. the “Energy Trading & Risk Management – Trade” software, which has be used for trading activities (deal capture, monitoring of trades, PnL analysis, etc.) in the past (before the Target Model organization) by several energy companies in Greece.
